Gloria
Taylor: OTI October 2009 Graduate
Gloria was accepted into the CASAC
Program in October 2008 and will be graduating October 2009.
Ms.
Taylor grew up in a home environment of substance abuse and
became a victim of substance abuse herself.
She
went through an inpatient recovery program and was so inspired
by her counselors work that it motivated her to want to become a
CASAC and to work in the field of substance abuse helping other
struggling addicts realize that they can live a life free from
substance dependency. When Gloria was accepted into the CASAC
Program she was working for a stipend at the Partnership for the
Homeless. During her time in the CASAC program Gloria applied
for, and obtained, a position with ACS and has been working full
time since June 2009. Due to her new employment she had to
switch her class schedule and delay her graduation from July to
October. She is a dedicated, compassionate woman who is making a
difference in the world and we are proud to say that she will be
an OTI Alumni.

Sharon
Alexander: OTI 6/25/2009 Graduate
Sharon Alexander has completely
changed her life around this past year.
At the time Sharon was accepted to the CASAC program,
October 2008, she had already been through recovery and was
living in a three quarter house.
She went through our program’s process, attending our
Career Development classes, and started an internship at
Palladia, Inc in March 2009.
In August 2009 Sharon accepted a full time position with
Palladia, Inc. She
has a full schedule of groups (16 in each group) every day.
Sharon has also moved out of the three quarter housing
and has her own place. She
is 2 years into recovery and has a new life.
Sharon is an example of what can be accomplished with
determination, a great spirit and assistance from those who
care.
