Outreach Training Institute, with sites located in Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island Lecturers must have excellent platform skills and experience teaching CASAC or related courses at the college level. Advisors must provide academic counseling, grade written assignments, and facilitate small group discussions and experiential learning activities related to the lecture material. Qualifications: Minimum a BA and CASAC, with a Master’s degree preferred. Professional experience in the treatment of substance use disorders is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skill needed. Dependability and consistency is essential. These are per-diem consultant positions. Greenpoint Outpatient Services, Greenpoint, Brooklyn The Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for the delivery of direct clinical services in a substance abuse treatment setting. CASAC or LMSW preferred. May consider a CASAC-T with relevant experience. Must possess excellent individual and group counseling skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; computer literate. Experience working in an outpatient substance abuse treatment setting required. Schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 1PM to 9PM. Bilingual Spanish required.
Outreach Training Institute, Richmond Hill, Queens, and Greenpoint, Brooklyn Responsibilities are to facilitate placement of Outreach Training Institute's students and graduates into internships and employed positions. Minimum of Bachelors Degree required. 2-5 years experience in workforce development and job placement required. Knowledge of substance abuse treatment programs preferred. Flexibility in scheduling required, as this position may include some evening hours.
Outreach Outpatient Services, Adolescent Program, Richmond Hill, Queens As an integral members of the adolescent program, the Family Therapist is responsible for the delivery of counseling and support services to adolescents and their family members/guardians of Outreach's adolescent outpatient services program. LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW required. Experience working with adolescents and families required. Bilingual Spanish a plus. Whether full time or part time, position does require some evening hours up to 9PM.
Bellport Outpatient Services, Bellport, Long Island The Consultant Psychologist is responsible for providing mental status assessments, medication consultation and/or prescriptions, treatment team consultations, and treatment reviews. MD with psychiatric board certification required. Suboxone certification preferred. Experience working with addicted populations preferred. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Bellport Evening Outpatient Services, Bellport, Long Island The Part Time Group Worker (10 hours per week) is responsible for providing group counseling in an evening outpatient substance abuse treatment setting. Minimum of CASAC-T required. Must possess excellent group counseling skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and be computer literate. Experience working in an outpatient substance abuse treatment setting preferred. Schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30PM to 9:00PM, and Saturdays, 9:00AM to 2:00PM.

Outreach House I, Ridgewood, Queens The Assistant House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily facilitation of the adolescent residential programming, while managing the Substance Abuse Counselors under the direct supervision of the house manager. Minimum of CASAC-T required. Due to the 24-hour nature of the facility, the Assistant House Manager is required to work a combination of afternoon/evening/late night hours, with days off Sunday and Monday. Must have flexibility in scheduling. Supervisory experience a plus. Experience working in a therapeutic community and/or experience working with adolescents required.
Outreach House II, Brentwood, Long Island The Siblings Counselor is responsible for providing supportive counseling services to the siblings of the residents of Outreach House II. Schedule is Wednesday, 6PM to 10PM. CASAC-T preferred. Will consider CASAC-T eligible with relevant experience. Experience working with adolescents required. Therapeutic community experience preferred. Experience running groups. Knowledge of substance abuse and recovery a plus. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Outreach House II, Brentwood, Long Island Responsibilities are to provide counseling services to adolescents in a residential treatment setting. Outreach House II is a 24-hour facility, so shifts may vary and may include evenings, overnight, and weekend shifts. CASAC or CASAC-T required.May consider CASAC-T eligible with relevant experience. Must have experience working with adolescents and/or therapeutic community experience.
Bellport Outpatient Services, Bellport, Long Island The Vocational Counselor is responsible for the coordination of all vocational/educational, supportive, and enhanced services. These services include, but are not limited to, computer skills training and oversight of vocational assessment/counseling, case management, coordination of on-site ACCES services, educational testing and referral for collateral services. Must have Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation or related field with voc/rehab experience. Must have experience conducting comprehensive vocational assessments and TABE testing. Experience working in a substance abuse setting preferred. CRC required.
Islip Outpatient Services, Brentwood, Long Island The Substance Abuse Counselors are responsible for the delivery and implementation of direct clinical services and serves as a member of the treatment team. LMSW of CASAC preferred. Will consider a CASAC-T with relevant experience. Bilingual Spanish required. Must possess excellent individual and group counseling skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; computer literate. Experience working in an outpatient substance abuse treatment setting preferred. Full time position is Monday through Friday, 1 PM to 9 PM. Part time position also requires evening hours up to 9 PM.
Outreach Haven, Flushing, Queens Responsible for providing overall supervision of adolescent females in a non-secure detention setting. Responsible for transporting residents to and from court, medical, and other appointments. Clean and valid NYS driver's license required. Minimum of high school diploma or GED required. Experience working in a non-secure detention or experience working with at-risk youth required. |
