Outreach Project operates
specialized programming for individuals who are referred for evaluation or
treatment as a result of a DUI or DWI violation and meet at least a
provisional diagnosis for Alcohol Abuse of Dependence under DSM-IV
criteria.
The program meets on a weekly
basis and participants are expected to attend individual as well as group
sessions and some self-help or community meetings. Clients must meet specific behavioral
criteria to successfully complete the program. This includes regular attendance,
abstinence monitored by saliva and/or urine testing, and submission of
homework assignments.
