Through a proven self-help model, each program utilizes positive peer interaction, an organized work structure, vocational/life skills preparation and individual introspection to encourage adolescents to develop the knowledge, skills and self-esteem they need to live alcohol and/or drug free. Along with a full day of school, residents receive individual, group, vocational and family counseling, and participate in health and recreational programs that strengthen the body and mind. Supportive services are also available to family members, and upon program completion, continuing care provides outpatient counseling for adolescents and their family that can help ease their transition back to home and community, as well as build upon program successes.
