Brentwood, Long IslandOutreach House in Brentwood, Long Island was designed from the ground up with the needs of adolescents in mind. Opened in 1992, the 36,000 square-foot facility, which includes a full-sized gymnasium, has a residential capacity of 50 adolescents. Offering long-term residential substance abuse treatment to youth, 12-17 years of age, from both Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island, Outreach House is designed to address the needs of substance using adolescents who are experiencing problems in multiple life domains – legal, family, educational, psychological, and social. Utilizing a modified therapeutic community model, the program integrates a full-day of on-site BOCES schooling, with counseling services that address every aspect of the evolving adolescent’s life.
