Public Transportation
Bus
Number 55 Bus (which runs along Myrtle Avenue) to Weirfield Street,
walk about 3 blocks south.
Train
L Train to Halsey Street Station. Walk east 2 - 3 blocks to
Weirfield Street and make a left onto Weirfield Street.
By Car
Take the Jackie Robinson Parkway to exit
2 (Cypress Avenue & Vermont Place). At first stop sign make a
right turn. (You will be facing a traffic light and a cemetery). At
the traffic light make a right turn. Continue going straight until
you come to Weirfield Street (between Sunoco gas station and Cypress
Lumber Co.). Make a left turn onto Weirfield Street. Go 3/4 of the
way down the block. Outreach House is on the left hand side of the
street. (Look for large red sign that says MEDCO Steel Forms).
Outreach House is across the street from MEDCO.
Long Island, North & Eastern Queens
Take Northern State Parkway West. At the city line Northern State
becomes the Grand Central Parkway. Continue on the Grand Central
Parkway, until you see signs for the Jackie Robinson Parkway. Bear
left on Grand Central Parkway as it will come to a fork. The left
fork being the Jackie Robinson Parkway then follow the steps listed
above.
From Bronx, Upstate New York
Bronx Whitestone Bridge to Van Wyck Expressway. Take Van Wyck to
Jackie Robinson Parkway. Follow steps listed above.
